Our history

Born from a passion for traditional European baking, Danesita blends Danish heritage with Portuguese expertise to create iconic cookies and pastries enjoyed in over 70 countries worldwide.

1978

DanCake Portugal is founded, launching its first Swiss roll production line and beginning its baking journey

1980s

First butter cookies production at Coimbra Factory and the expansion of export activities for Europe and other strategic countries across the globe.

1990s

Inauguration of a new production site in Coimbra.

2000s

A new product joined our portfolio with the first production of crackers.

2010s

Inception of our largest contract of butter cookies for one of the biggest retailer in the US.

2020s

Danesita integrates Biscuit International becomes one of its brands.
