About the role

As Group S&OP Lead, you will be the process owner and “chief architect” of S&OP at Group level. Your role is pivotal in harmonizing planning across countries, integrating new businesses, and ensuring operational excellence.
This is a highly visible role, reporting directly to the Group COO and working closely with Planning Managers in the Netherlands and France, as well as with Operations Directors, Finance, Sales, and Marketing teams across Europe.

Our new colleague’s key responsibilities

Strategy & Process design

• Assess and benchmark current S&OP maturity across geographies.

• Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for S&OP improvement, aligned with organizational changes (ERP/IT upgrades, M&A …)

• Design harmonized capacity planning methodologies to ensure consistent approaches across entities.

• Lead change management initiatives and project governance to secure adoption and long-term impact.

 

Execution & Operations

• Lead the cross-sell Group S&OP process, ensuring demand/supply balance and driving Executive S&OP decisions.

• Aggregate monthly demand forecasts and MRP at Group level, ensuring data consistency and supporting corrective actions.

• Coordinate with Procurement for budget and reforecast cycles.

• Anticipate and resolve capacity constraints, and when needed, allocate capacity across countries to maximize profitability.

• Support Long Range Planning by translating demand into a Group capacity strategy.

 

Technology & Performance

• Define and implement APS tools in alignment with Group strategy, ensuring upgrades and integration with existing systems.

• Monitor and report on Group KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, stock levels, capacity performance, DIO finished goods & raw/pack), ensuring data integrity.

• Channel improvement ideas into structured planning projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Leadership, Training & Integration

• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of S&OP managers/coordinators.

• Define competency models for planning roles and lead tailored training programs.

• Train and coach cross-sell community leaders (Innovation, Supply, Quality & Pack, Sales, Customer Support) to embed best practices.

• Lead the integration of new companies into Group planning, ensuring fast and smooth adoption of standards.

 

Communication & Influence

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Finance, Supply, R&D, Managing Directors), building consensus across diverse perspectives.

• Foster productive dialogue in high-stakes situations, managing trade-offs with tact and credibility.

• Drive standardization and alignment of processes across geographies and business units.

Our new colleague’s background

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field; supply chain certifications are a strong plus.

• 10+ years of experience in S&OP, demand and/or supply planning, with at least 3 years in a multi-country coordination role.

• Strong background in supply chain management, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing.

• Hands-on experience with Advanced Planning Systems (APS) and planning technologies, including tools implementation.

• Proven ability to lead S&OP transformations and change initiatives.

• Excellent analytical and project management skills; able to balance multiple stakeholders and priorities.

• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage both executive leadership and operational teams.

• Data-driven mindset with a proven track record in improving forecast accuracy and capacity planning.

• Fluent in English (French or Dutch is an advantage).
