What are you going to do?

As an HSE Lead Officer you support and coach the production plants and report to the HUB Director and QESH Director. You will work with 4 colleagues in Northern Europe for 21 plants, by translating standards into practical models for our employees in the field of safety, health and the environment. To ensure that safety culture is further strengthened and legislation and regulations are implemented, executed and secured in accordance with policy. You coach the four locations Broek op Langedijk, Alkmaar, Dordrecht and Rucphen, which means that you are often on the road. Not on the road? Working from home is therefore possible.

Your tasks as an HSE Lead Officer include:

  • Be the first point of contact for safety, health and environmental issues and advise and support the organization in further shaping safety awareness within our organization;
  • Implementing Safety Assessments and the safety road map for the central organization and your locations;
  • Carrying out and supporting Root Cause Analyses;
  • Professionalizing our organization in the field of HSE, through toolboxes, weekly safety one pagers, safety campaign, standards such as LOTOTO and of course associated procedures;
  • Carrying out and supervising in-depth RI&Es, including advising/supporting the production locations with regard to the associated action plan;
  • Supervising and carrying out internal audits in the field of HSE;
  • Supervising external audits.

What do we ask?

  • Minimum HBO thinking and working level, obtained through education and work experience;
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, NEN 3140, LO-TO-TO, work permits and atex;
  • The MVK diploma;
  • Preferably HVK or IVK diploma;
  • Experience with Management of Change (MOC), work permits and Task Risk Analyzes (TRAs);
  • Experience with RI&Es;
  • Communication skills and command of the English language, spoken and written;
  • Act in a structured manner and work proactively and you are a ‘builder’.
